As the golden days of summer begin to fade into the crispness of fall, there's a unique magic in the air. Loveland is known for its charming riverfront and scenic trails, but there's something especially enchanting about the Little Miami River as summer wanes. The trees, still lush with greenery, start to hint at the colors of fall, and the gentle flow of the river reflects the soft, amber light of the late afternoon sun.
This is one of my favorite families to photograph and I love that they were excited to take their shoes off and venture into the river. I encouraged them to simply enjoy each other's company—no posing, just being. These unscripted moments are always my favorite because they reveal the true essence of the family’s dynamic. These images were a poignant reminder of how fleeting and beautiful these late summer days are, and how important it is to savor them. This session was a reminder of why I love what I do.
